Mafioso Football Manager is a football (soccer) manager game for Windows. Originally developed by Uncultured Games in 2012, it was finally released in April 2022, followed by a 1.1 update in late April. No new updates are currently planned.
- Take full control of a lowly third division football club. Can you develop your players, get promoted to the top of the league pyramid, and win the esteemed premiership title?
- Each playthrough is different. Club names, players, daily scenarios and careers will always be unique and random.
- 650 000 possible club names created randomly in the style of traditional British football clubs—the combinations include names like Paulsfleet Casuals, Lutterby Dons, Shrivencester Sports, Thrapsbury Island, Leverwell Motors, Morwade Miners, Waketon City, Hornfleet Athletic or Nantmill Vagabonds.
- The game includes an optional name pack to generate unique club names in the style of old Finnish sports clubs—think Ututehtaan Vauhti, Järvenvuoren Junkkarit, Keihäsmetsän Kisailijat, Jumalsaaren Potku or Munakarjulan Voimistelijat. Again, thereover 650 000 possible name combinations!
- 85 200 possible player names, with dozens of nationalities. 200 000 possible stadium names.
- 650 000 possible club names created randomly in the style of traditional British football clubs—the combinations include names like Paulsfleet Casuals, Lutterby Dons, Shrivencester Sports, Thrapsbury Island, Leverwell Motors, Morwade Miners, Waketon City, Hornfleet Athletic or Nantmill Vagabonds.
- You are the boss—the manager, the sporting director and the CEO. Handle weekly scenarios and the club's reputation, finances, stadium services and sponsorship deals. Follow your players' fitness, choose your captain, matchday squads and strategies, handle the transfer windows, and make sure that your players are always developing.
- Try taking a trip to Little Sicily. Dealing with the mafia is risky, but the prospect of placing illegal bets on your upcoming match, bribing the F.A. to get suspensions wiped off or getting your hands on some stamina-enhancing doping might just get too tempting at times. And don't sweat it—if you're not interested in this sort of stuff, you can just ignore the mafia and play the game as a regular football manager game.
- Handle different scenarios! Each game week starts with one or more random scenarios, that will affect your club and often require you to make tough choices. A local schoolboy might collect money for your club by selling lemonade. Your stadium might host a talent show for local boy bands, resulting in a major loss of reputation. A local fast food joint might be interested in a sponsorship deal: will you rename your stadium to "Haggis Hall" in exchange for money and embarrassment?
- Get excited about your matches and go crazy with that late winning goal! In the match center, you can enjoy all your club's matches live, compressed into 50 seconds of exciting live commentary. If you're not interested, you can just skip the action by holding space. You can also grant your team temporary stat boosts by using 'attack boosts' or 'control boosts' live during matches, if you purchased them from the coaching center.
- Create dynasties, watch your youth players turn into club legends and eventually retire. With each save you'll be able to play up to 20 consecutive seasons.
- Customize! The game includes a Team Creator, which allows you to start the game with a self-made custom team. Edit all save files or resource files easily in notepad for even more flexibility.

Great retro design to this! Somehow I did well without really knowing soccer at all lol
Ah, fantastic stuff! <3 I really enjoyed this video. I'll admit the financial balance could be better in this game, but you had a pretty incredible debut season anyway. Congrats on the promotion and long live Clystgate United! Keep up the great work with your channel. –T
Hi, could you please consider adding accessibility for screen readers? In theory, this is text-based, so should read. HOwever, when running the game, the screen reader can not read anything. There is a free screen reader on windows, called NVDA, that could be used for testing. I'd also be happy to test myself as well.
The only thing would be how to show the live commentary, as if it goes by in 50 seconds it could happen fast and the screen reader might possibly struggle to keep up, but maybe there's a way. Unforunatel, I am not a programmer, but I'd be happy to provide feedback. This would be a completely new experience for me as Fifa does not ahve accessibility built into the console games nor does football manager.
Thanks very much in advance.
Hi! Thanks for your comment. I'll look into NVDA and see what I can do. The game was coded in a pretty eccentric programming language (QB64) so I don't know whether it's even possible to make the game compatible, but I'll look into it. Would be thrilled to offer such accessibility!
Just looking at the screenshots this already looks cool as hell
Awesome! Let's hear your career stories, if you decide to give it a try! :-)
I love the look of this. I am currently creating a footy manager game and so have loved looking through the screenshots etc.
I am on a mac, so cannot test it at the moment. I hope that you persevere with it!
Thanks! I actually consider this game finished and don't plan to add more features at this time. :)
hello
would you like to add a feature to edit the number of teams in division?
Hello! Thanks for your idea. At the moment it's impossible, but if I decide to give the game another big update, I'll look into this.
Getting lots of downloads suddenly, thanks people! Please let me know what you think of the game and share your career stories here. :)
Love the game so far! Ali Dia showed up, 6 of my players got injured organising a yard sale and my star midfielder started acting strangely and changed his name to Captain America! One thing the game badly needs, though, is a way to clear your squad for mid season free agents. I tried selling players before it happens, but they just get replaced by youth team members, so the squad is still full and you can't sign anyone. Other than that, this is a lot of fun!
Ahaha, that sounds amazing. :-D Can I share your career story on Twitter? And thanks for the feedback. Selling the 1-3 "extra" players should be made possible, and I guess adding a young academy player to the squad (if there's space) should also be possible during the season. I'll fix this stuff in the first patch. I'm also very interested in any balancing issues you might notice. I made some changes close to the release, and now I'm not sure how the balancing works between the daily scenarios, managing your reputation and the finances, and also improving your stadium and coaching etc. The goal here definitely is a casual game that is not too challenging and doesn't punish you too much.
Yeah, you can share on Twitter, no problem! The balancing so far has seemed pretty good, I've had no complaints but I'll keep an eye on it and let you know when I've had a bit more time to play it :)
When I first load up the game, all I get is this screen, which doesn't do anything. However, if you press 'space', the options appear. Not clear that that's what you need to do. Not had time to play it much yet yet, but what I've seen so far has been a lot of fun!
Hi! Thanks for downloading! And that's a good point, I'll release a patch with some fixes at some point and will fix this.
Thanks to everyone who downloaded the game! I'd love to hear your career stories!
